Since 1991, Hines has sponsored core, value added and opportunistic investment vehicles for property acquisition and development in developed and emerging markets in the Americas, Europe and Asia. Additionally, Hines has experience across all property types.

Since 2001, Hines has sponsored 25 privately offered programs in which Hines has co-invested with various institutional and other third-party investors, and two publicly offered investment programs. For these programs:

  • Funds raised from investors: $15.7 billion
  • Aggregate amount of real estate investments: $18.5 billion
  • Number of properties: 211 - includes 108 properties in the U.S. with a cost of $12.4 billion and 103 properties outside of the U.S. with a cost of $6.1 billion - 53% in Western Europe, 4% in Canada and 43% in emerging markets
  • 122 dispositions with an aggregate cost basis of $8.0 billion and sales price of $10.5 billion

Hines also has experience in "one-off" ventures. "One-off" ventures are typically larger, more complex development projects and acquisitions.

Hines executes its business strategy by integrating its investment management teams with local-market Hines personnel in 108 cities worldwide. Hines' investor partners and clients include major public and private pension funds, government investment authorities, insurance companies, financial institutions, endowments and individual investors.
